The relationship with the Accreditation Body, organisational and technical issues, requirements of the clients and regulations of the sector generated the development of research projects within this Technical Section.
These projects aim to enhance the role that the Testing and Calibration Laboratories play in ensuring quality and safety of products and in determining the very possibility to realise, improve and innovate them.
ASSOTIC represents for the laboratories of any sector and dimension, the opportunity to make their voice, their requirements and their specific expertise reach the managements and working groups of the Entities where rules, regulations and laws are proposed, discussed and approved.
ASSOTIC allows the laboratories to become part of a network of relationships and expertise put in support of technical, management and entrepreneurial activities.
The main objectives of the Technical Section “Testing, Analysis and Calibration Laboratories” are:
- • Representing the laboratories, both in Italy and Europe, for technical, economic and political matters that have a direct impact on their activities.
- • Bringing the voice of the laboratories to any assembly where laws, regulations and rules affecting their laboratory activities, are discussed and decided.
- • Interfacing and coordinating with national and international organisations having activities of interest to the community of laboratories, trying to avoid duplication of efforts with subsequent waste of resources.
In addition, ASSOTIC proposes itself as multi-sectoral forum for circulation, exchange of information and experience aimed at the promotion of:
- • Testing, measuring, calibration and related methods
- • Use of testing, measuring and calibration results in the development of laws and directives, in the certification and acceptance of products and in technical assessments
- • Regulation of tests and inspections on constructions, in cooperation with the Ministries and the Superior Council of Public Works
- • Accreditation for flexible purpose and/or product standard
- • Creation of an “inter-laboratory circuit”, sharing expertise of Italian accredited laboratories and involving EUROLAB, the European Federation of National Associations of Measurement, Testing and Analysis Laboratories.
- • Monitor the subjectivity in Audits through the collection of objective elements highlighting the differences in approach of ACCREDIA in processes of accreditation/monitoring the laboratories
- • Activate Working Groups in close collaboration with national and/or international Technical Committees involving one or more ASSOTIC representatives
